Dear Vicki and Gerald-

Your many friends are hoping for your complete recovery and return to good health. I would like to share with you the lyrics of a healing prayer we sing during our Friday evening Sabbath services:

"May the source of strength who blessed the ones before us
help us find the courage to make our lives a blessing and let us say, Amen.

Bless those in need of healing
with the renewal of body, the renewal of spirit, and
let us say, Amen."

I will sing these words each evening for you, Vicki and Gerald, in the hope that they will join with the prayers of all who love you and wish for your good health.

Although I no longer live in Springdale, I have always kept up friendships with the Harp Family. I was very concerned to learn about this tragic event.

My mother, Lee Stepp, still lives there, and she called me as soon as she learned about this.

Growing up, I work for the Harp's family for a long time, and I was treated especially nice by both Gerald and Vicki. I went to school with Christy, so that made the community seem a lot smaller than it really was during the mid 1980's.

Although I live in Iowa, now. I still like to keep up to date regarding the many people that have touched and/or influenced my life.

Mr. and Mrs. Harp were regular customers and friends while I worked as an Asst. Manager of the Price Cutter store in Springdale.

Having been diagnosed with a brain tumor and sufferred a stroke, I know the importance of prayer and faith.

I and my family will keep the Harps and there family in our prayers.

God Bless!

Gerald and Vicki,

I know that there are alot of people in the Harps family that are praying for you both Tami and myself are praying for a healing.
The Bible tells us to ask for what we have need of and were agreeing with others for a speedy recovery. May God be with you both and each member of your family.

Dear Gerald & Vicki,
You have 2 more extended family members here in Tulsa praying for you both. Life is not always bright, but if the sun can shine after the darkest storm, so can we. Some days are better than others, and some days are best forgotten; but as the fading light marks the days end, think on the good things in life-things innocent and true, and fall asleep dreaming of the promise tomorrow brings. There is a line in the book, "Purpose Driven Life" that I always think of and will never forget. It's strange how somehow it always makes sense to me, even regarding the insignificant troubles of everyday life to the unimaginable - "So that tragedy you faced wasn't easy, and God wept that it hurt you so, but He allowed it to shape your heart so that into His likeliness you would grow". It reminds me that we are all part of His plan and we can never understand why things happen, but what we can do is always trust in Him and the plans He has for us. The tests of life are never greater than the grace God gives us to handle them. Just remember that God made you and he will always take care of you now and in eternity. You are in our thoughts and prayers everyday.

Just call my Dad to get my info if there is anything we can do for you, we are here in Tulsa-just down the street from you- & we would love to help in any way we can.
Love, Justin & Ryann Thomas-(Phillip's daughter)
